Aarhus is called the smallest metropol of the world, because it has nearly everything within walking distance. In the city centre you will find cosy cafes, a variety of restaurants (ranging from the inexpensive where you can bring your own wine, to the gastronomic top class) and many shopping possibilities. Also, the city is situated beautifully with a view of the harbour and Aarhus bay. North and South to the the city centre there are two wonderful forests, which you can easily access by foot, by one of the free bikes available in the city or by bus.
Other popular attractions are:
- ARoS Aarhus Kunstmuseum - art gallery and museum.
- Moesgård Museum - archaeological and ethnographic museum.
- Den Gamle By (The Old Town) - a world-renowned open-air museum of urban history and culture.
